I'd love to hear from both readers and authors alike. What are some of your favorite topics to read or write about? What is the most cliche story line you can think of, that you just see over and over and over again to the point were you feel like there aren't any original plots left?
As an avid reader I read over 400 books one year. Yes, I know that is a lot. I tend to stick to Urban Fantasy romance books, but I will dabble outside that genre on occasion. I found that I quickly grew tired of seeing the same story line pop up in my book recommendations time after time. That's how I started writing.
I'm no English major, and I had never considered writing before, but once I started typing I couldn't stop. A whole world opened up to me, and I took all my favorite aspects from the books I love and mashed them into one big ball. I didn't let anything stop me from creating a world were Greek and Norse gods could exist with Angels and Daemons. Or where Dragons live side by side with werewolves, Minotaur, and elves.
What are some of the things that inspired you to write? What do you look for when you are shopping for a new book? What will make you instantly turn away from a book when reading a blurb?
